In 2017 After her divorce was final Teresa threw herself a faux wedding. She wanted to celebrate love! There was SO much love in her life from her new relationship with Chris, to the friendships she was able to cultivate but mostly the love she’d nurtured within herself -for herself! She wanted to mark this moment in her life with an occasion. A photoshoot or faux-toe-shoot (cause she’d hilarious).

With only a week to pull it together her and Chris invited a handful of their friends, a fake officiant (but a real friend) and his perfect barn as the backdrop. To set the tone so that everyone WAS the wedding party. They were all brides and bridesmaids and groomsmen. Teresa even wanted her girlfriend, Ernestine, to rock a veil – this was her day too!

And so yes, they all joined together in holy matri-phony! Their friend Billy did the whole ceremony off the cuff! Then? They ate, had a drum circle, the first dance and of course a rap battle – Teresa lost with flying colors (they were not impressed with her Busta Rhymes impersonation as she was )

A photo shoot ended up being not only a beautiful shared experience with their loved ones but the catalyst to so much more! So please take this as a reminder that life is what happens in between the milestones.
